World War II
Lt. Charles J. Collins*
- USAAC. From Baraboo, WI. Collins was killed when the P-47 "Thunderbolt" he was piloting ran out of fuel over Sturbridge.
- Platoon Sergeant Rudolph "Rudy" Julian USMC -Reserve was killed in action on Iwo Jima on 9 March 1945, following a one-man assault on enemy-occupied trenches and fortified positions.
- Cousin to Rudolph Julian, Rosaire served in the United States Army. He was killed when a German shell struck the boat he was on while crossing the Rhine River.
- USN-Reserve. Plimpton was killed when his ship, LST 282, was struck by a German "Buzz Bomb."
Fireman 1/c Roland Henry Vilandre*
- USN. Vilandre was aboard the USS Cisco when it was destroyed by bombs and depth charges. The submarine still lies at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean (near the Philippines.)
Global War On Terrorism (GWOT)
- USMC. Killed by an Iraqi sniper while on patrol in an Iraqi village.
